Program Recommendation

Process

One of the integral functions of the Los Angeles Regional Consortium is to recommend credit Career Technical Education (CTE) programs being proposed by community colleges in the region. This role is described in Title 5, Section 55130(b)(8)E of the California Education Code.

Each of the 19 colleges within the LA Regional Consortium has one voting member and one alternate voting member, selected by the college President (or their designee). Each month, the voting members (and/or alternates) hold a Business Meeting to review and recommend CTE programs to the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO). Each new program must be preceded by a program data request made to the region's Center of Excellence (COE).

Click below for specific instructions regarding submitting a program data request and an application for program recommendation. For any questions regarding the program recommendation process, please reach out to LARC Grant Project Coordinator, Gray Rakow (grakow@pasadena.edu).
