A Region at Work

LARC’s 19 community colleges, seven workforce development boards, industry and civic leaders and stakeholders, including representatives invested in career education, came together to create the Los Angeles Regional Strong Workforce Program (SWP) Plan for 2021 to 2024. The plan serves as a road map for the regional collaboration to meet workforce demands, support students enter high demand, living wage jobs, and strengthen our regional economy. Each year, the Regional Plan is updated with organizational developments and SWP projects across the consortium.

This update is provided for Los Angeles regional stakeholders, consortium members, and the general public. This update is a companion document to the 2021-2024 Los Angeles Regional Plan and information published on the Los Angeles Regional Consortium website.

Regional Plan 2021-2024

This plan is intended to inform strategies for the four-year period of 2021-2024, with annual updates provided each January. From 2019 to 2020, Los Angeles regional stakeholders engaged in a planning process described herein. The plan is organized chronologically and by major topic, beginning with an historical background, a discussion of the regional priority and emerging sectors, and ending with data informing the 2021-2024 plan. Please note that the report includes information on both Los Angeles and Orange County as it was originally developed by the Los Angeles and Orange County Regional Consortium. Effective January 2022 regional stakeholders opted to create two separate consortiums, one focusing on Los Angeles (LARC) and one focusing on Orange County (OCRC).
