Pathways Improvement Scope

The plan proposes that exposure to CTE can strengthen a student’s attachment to school or increase motivation to succeed. Locke High School is using CTE programs as a strategy to engage and support students to stay on track to graduation and pursue an ambitious post-secondary pathway.

Goals & Priorities

Retain two full-time CTE credentialed teachers and one College and Career Counselor to lead and implement the CTE pathways. Arrange CTE pathway related college tours. Organize on campus career events, including a career fair and career speaker series. Enroll students in college and career related opportunities offered by partner organizations and increase the number of offerings in Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) college credit opportunities. We will also increase the number of students participating, focusing on student subgroups who are underrepresented in these courses.
