“My Pathway to Health” a PAID 3-part program connecting you to pathways to careers in allied health and supporting you through career exploration, training, and job placement.
We will be exploring careers and training opportunities in Phlebotomy, Certified Nursing Assistant, Community Health Worker, Peer Support Specialist, and Medical Assistant. Once you choose a pathway, we support you in enrolling in a training program. This program also offers professional and personal development workshops, mentoring support, and you’ll have the opportunity to earn your Basic Life Support certification.
Program Dates:
Part 1: Career and Job Awareness/Exploration and Job Readiness
June 18th-July 18th, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00am-12:00pm (Virtual except one in-person BLS Training)
Part 2: Allied Health Career Education and Training-Dates and Times Dependent on Chosen Pathway
Part 3: Job Placement-Dates and Times Dependent on Chosen Pathway
Program Requirements
1. 18-24 years old
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent
3. Currently out of work (part-time accepted) and out of school
4. Interest in a career in health care
