October 22 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Free + Open to the Public
Join uncommissioned artists Glazed Paradise (Mark Jenkins and Sandra Fernández) for a hands-on workshop exploring how sculpture and installation can activate public space with humor, care, and imagination. Known internationally for their striking interventions in the everyday landscape, Glazed Paradise invites participants to experiment with techniques and ideas that expand how art can live beyond gallery walls.
The program will conclude with a roundtable discussion featuring Glazed Paradise, other uncommissioned artists, Azadeh Shladovsky, Fiona Yun-Jui Chang, Mayela Rodriguez, Terrick Gutierrez, Stephanie Brown and curator Taylor Bythewood-Porter, reflecting on the role of public art today and how it can connect more deeply with local communities.
This special event is part of uncommissioned, a global exhibition of public art organized by Nōvo Collective and presented in partnership with 18th Street Arts Center.
Free and open to the public. Space is limited — RSVP required.
