“The economy keeps churning along but so does climate change. These two forces are important for future economic growth, consumption and investment growth. We are also excited to have as our keynote speaker Rosanna Xia, an environmental reporter at the Los Angeles Times. She will introduce her award-winning book on sea level rise, California Against the Sea, and share insights that she has gathered in the course of her reporting. She will also reflect on the critical roles that economists, researchers, and financial institutions could play in deepening these much-needed conversations on climate adaptation. The Fall 2024 Economic Outlook will be presented in collaboration with UCLA Center for Impact.”
