The US Snap AR Lens Challenge launches in less than two weeks on Monday, October 27, 2025. Next Shift Learning and Snap Philanthropy have partnered to create a learning experience where you will create and design your own augmented reality experience using Snap’s Lens Studio software. We use a mix of self-guided tutorials and live workshops led by AR experts to get you from curious explorer to Lens Creator!
Participation is free and open to all US-based students 13 years and older. The four-week-long program is designed to expose students to Lens Studio and guide them through synchronous and asynchronous lessons so they can learn to create their own interactive Snap lenses from scratch to share with friends and add to their portfolios.
When you join the challenge and submit your lens by Tuesday, November 23rd, you’ll have an opportunity to gain real-world client experience, learn from incredible Snap Lens Network Creators, and receive an invitation to apply to our 2026 Snap Lens Academy paid summer program.
