She was the Coordinator in the School of Continuing Education, Short-Term Vocational Department, and is currently the Apprenticeship Manager. Prior to joining Mt. SAC, she was the School to Career Liaison and Business Development Strategist at La Puente Valley ROP; a Project Coordinator at the SELACO WIB where she administered a State discretionary grant and research project on the long-term unemployed population and prior to that LA Works, a workforce development agency where she was the Training and Services Manager. She has over 25 years of workforce development and higher education experience in developing/implementing programs and sustaining employer/community partnerships.

Are there pre-conditions for entry into the Program or for apprentice job placement in this Industry Sector?
- Individuals must be 18 years or older and be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
- Possession of a California drivers license would be preferred.
- Employers may require drug test and background check. Students cannot have a criminal record.
- A livescan submission is required when they apply for their State Board of Pharmacy License.
- Students must have a SS # or Tax ID for employment.
- Students must attend a mandatory information session.

- Suggested Courses: Basic Anatomy and Physiology Medical Terminology and Health Careers Skills Lab; after completing this course, the student is eligible to sit for the National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) test. If they pass the exam, they receive the NCMA Certification.

- Individuals should be 18 years or older but with parent approval, minors can be enrolled, although placement with an employer is usually difficult.
- Possession of a California drivers license would be preferred.
