Geared towards strengthening LA County’s Allied Health (AH) sector, this initiative aims to increase enrollment in community college AH programs for both new students and incumbent workers. The primary goal is to improve program quality, evidenced by enhanced outcomes such as increased CTE unit completions, certificate/degree/industry license achievements, successful transfers, and improved employment results, including promotions and earnings. In its second funding round, the Allied Health project focuses on three key areas: boosting clinical sites for community college AH programs, expanding partnerships with organizations like the Southern California Hospital Association and the Community Clinic Association of LA County, and emphasizing incumbent worker trainings and apprenticeships.
