Led by a Community of Practice, the Faculty Innovation Hub Equity Project strategically addresses the imperative of enhancing enrollment in programs geared toward high-demand, high-wage jobs, particularly in burgeoning middle-skill occupations aligned with rapidly growing industries. It promotes equity by leveraging program flexibility, including online courses, adaptable start dates, and evening/weekend classes, to cater to the diverse schedules of students and enhance accessibility. Furthermore, the project emphasizes wage gains through programs that foster up-skilling and re-skilling to meet evolving market demands. Additionally, enhanced faculty professional development, data/research support, and effective communication strategies and tools are proactive efforts of this project designed to promote equitable offerings in our colleges. These resources empower faculty to engage in continuous professional development and research, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaborative initiatives. This commitment strengthens the colleges’ dedication to equity, ensuring inclusive and diverse opportunities for all students.
