LA-23 ELAC: LA RHT+ Project (Retail, Hospitality, Tourism)

Building on our conviction that colleges should streamline educational paths and support students until completion, our continued efforts extend the innovative work initiated in Phase 1 of the LA RHT+ project. In Phase 1, 10 colleges collaborated to address industry needs, resulting in a region-wide “Success Skills for the First Time Manager” course and a corresponding certificate for the retail, hospitality, tourism, culinary, and fashion sectors. Phase 2 advances the achievements of Phase 1, concentrating on Tourism in the LA region. This phase includes regional curriculum development, a workforce readiness component, industry engagement, post-certificate training opportunities, outreach campaigns, and valuable interactions between administrators, faculty members, support staff, and industry professionals.
