Under the direction of a team manager, you may perform the following
functions:
• Chemistry students: Assist with sample preparation, water quality
testing, inventory of supplies, Laboratory Information Management
System data entry and record keeping, as well as general laboratory
housekeeping
• Microbiology students: Prepare microbiological reagents and
media, perform microscopy, operate autoclaves, enumerate
bacteria, perform quality control testing, maintain and clean
laboratory equipment and complete related documentation
• Engineering students: Assist engineers and technicians with
bench-, pilot-, and demonstration-scale studies in drinking water
treatment and advanced water treatment processes, perform
literature searches and write technical reports
• Computer science/information systems students: Support the
development and maintenance of computer (clientserve or web)
applications and dashboards, debug existing applications, and
assist with other quality assurance and quality control activities
