Los Angeles County Nursing 2035 Initiative
The Los Angeles Regional Consortium and the CSU Chancellor’s Office, in partnership with leading healthcare organizations, has released the “Los Angeles County Nursing 2035 Report,” offering ten-year workforce projections and strategic recommendations to address the region’s growing nursing shortage. With Los Angeles County facing an aging population, increasing retirements, and a projected annual gap of nearly 1,100 Registered Nurses, the report outlines urgent policy, budget, and educational strategies needed to prevent a deepening care crisis by 2035.
