Pathways Improvement Scope
Launch a new Aviation & Aerospace CTE pathway at Edgewood High School within the Transportation Sector. The project will develop a comprehensive aviation program supported by industry-standard curriculum, flight simulation technology and equipment, instructor professional development, college and career exploration, and partnerships with Mt. San Antonio College and aviation industry partners.
Goals & Priorities
Build an equitable K14 pipeline into high-wage, high-demand aviation careers. Priorities include expanding dual enrollment and articulation with Mt. SAC, increasing access to industry-recognized certifications such as FAA Part 107, providing hands-on work-based learning, job shadowing and flight experiences, strengthening industry partnerships, and increasing pathway participation and completion among underserved students.
