Pathways Improvement Scope

Lynwood USD will build on prior K12 SWP investments by expanding AI, cybersecurity, health sciences, entrepreneurship, and early college opportunities across its CTE pathways. The project will establish Cybersecurity within the Computer Information Systems pathway, embed AI, data literacy, and entrepreneurial thinking across CTE programs, and expand dual enrollment with Compton College in areas including nursing prerequisites and small business entrepreneurship. The initiative will strengthen K–14 alignment and create clearer transitions into Compton College and Lynwood Community Adult School programs in technology, nursing, allied health, and business. Investments in curriculum alignment, instructional technology, professional development, work-based learning, and targeted student supports will increase CTE completion and early college credit while preparing students for high-wage, high-demand careers in technology, healthcare, and business innovation.

Goals & Priorities

Expand Cybersecurity and early college pathways; integrate AI, data literacy, and entrepreneurship across CTE; strengthen Health Sciences/Nursing and Business dual enrollment with Compton College; increase CTE pathway completion and early college credit; expand WBL; and strengthen equitable K–14 transitions into high-wage technology, healthcare, and business careers.
