LA-26: IVA CTE Expansion for an Evolving Workforce

Pathways Improvement Scope

IVA will strengthen and expand its CTE and dual enrollment pathways by creating clearer connections between student interests, Long Beach City College programs, industry certifications, and regional workforce opportunities. The project will enhance college and career exploration, improve pathway alignment and course sequencing, expand student advising and academic supports, and increase equitable access to high-quality CTE and early college opportunities, particularly for underserved student populations.

Goals & Priorities

IVA’s primary goals are to increase participation and completion in CTE and dual enrollment, develop more intentional pathway-aligned course sequences, and improve college and career readiness for all students. Priorities include increasing dual enrollment participation to 75%, expanding CTE enrollment and pathway completion, increasing the number of students earning early college credit and industry certifications, addressing equity gaps among student populations, and reaching a 60% college and career readiness rate by the end of the grant period.
