Pathways Improvement Scope

Digital Media Studies: Comm, Film, Narrative Arts Pathway & State of the Art Innovation Facilities will create a state-of- the-art facility for the new ICT/DM Pathway. Dual Enrollment through Santa Monica College will be incorporated into the pathway. Transforming existing space and infrastructure will encourage professional integration by enticing commercial entities to use the Innovations Hub as a new local modernized, professional- grade space and create real world work-based learning experiences for students on the high school campus.

Goals & Priorities

This program will build on the success of the award-winning KBEV TV program that has placed nationally in CTSO competitions. The new ICT/DM Pathway will give students hands on experience with industry recognized equipment to obtain the skills necessary to pursue a career in the field. By partnering with Santa Monica College,, students will be able to make a smooth transition to the related established college programs. Encouraging local industry partners to utilize the facilities will create a sense of community and embed a network of potential employers into the pathway plan.
