Pathways Improvement Scope

The focus is on expanding Work-Based Leaning and employment-ready preparatory experiences in all CTE pathways.

Goals & Priorities

Increase student access to site-based WBL in industries that offer high-wage, high-demand career opportunities by strengthening industry/education partnerships through teacher professional development and industry engagement. Establish a pre-apprenticeship pathway in Building and Construction Trades that prepares students for success in apprenticeship programs at Rio Hondo College. Develop a blueprint for creating additional pre-apprenticeship programs.
Add a full-time Work-Based Learning Coordinator to engage industry and increase WBL across pathways and high schools. Intentionally engage Perkins special populations and disproportionately impacted students.
