Pathways Improvement Scope

This project seeks to strengthen the CTE pathway through Career Exploration and Work-based Learning plan for 7th-12th grade students, increase dual enrollment opportunities and enhance 12th grade students’ readiness to transition to college and career. The focus will be on 12th grade students to ensure graduation with a concrete post secondary plan and deep understanding of the steps they will need to take to reach their individual college and career goals. A full-time Career Pathway Connections Manager (CPCM) will work in tandem with the school’s College Counselor to ensure that every graduating senior has a solid understanding of the range of postsecondary options available and a customized College/Career Action Plan aligned with their goals.

LA’s Promise Charter will strengthen the CTE pathway through Career Exploration and Work-based Learning plan for 7th – 12th grade, Increase dual enrollment opportunities through CoopEd and STEAM and Multimedia 3 to be a dual enrollment possibility, and enhance 12th grade students’ readiness to transition successfully to college and career. Through Reimagining Media Arts Career Pathway Connections (CPC) participation, students will explore different Design and Media Arts and related career options, gain a realistic picture of the academic rigor these options entail, and develop a clear understanding of the path they will need to take to reach college and career goals, placing them on a trajectory for success in their future chosen fields.
