Pathways Improvement Scope
CHAMPS offers five CTE pathways: Digital Media, Cinema, Dance, Theater and Instrumental Music. The proposed project will focus on the creation of a new pathway in Fashion Design and enhancement of pathways in Dance, Theater and Instrumental Music.
Goals & Priorities
CHAMPS will strengthen Counselor interventions to provide career awareness and 4 Year plans for all students. A CTE Advisor will be hired to create and nurture relationships with industry partners, plan advisory meeting, and serve as a liaison with our community college and postsecondary partners. CHAMPS offers unique opportunities for immediate WBL through internal partnerships. CHAMPS will develop a high quality CTE curriculum aligned to CTEMCS for a new two year pathway in Fashion. Postsecondary partners will be invited to collaborate for purposes of articulation and/or dual enrollment. Postsecondary opportunities for articulation and dual enrollment in Dance, Music and Theater will be pursued for smoother postsecondary transition and early college credit.
