Pathways Improvement Scope

This project seeks to develop new CTE pathways in Animation & Computer Programming and enhance both the Digital Media & Cinema Pathways by updating curriculum and equipment. CHAMPS will develop a high quality CTE curriculum aligned to CTEMCS for two new pathways, Animation & Computer Programming. LA Mission College and LA Valley College articulation/dual enrollment opportunities will be pursued for smooth postsecondary transition.

Goals & Priorities

CHAMPS will strengthen counselors’ CTE knowledge and hire a CTE Advisor. Professional development for counselors and teachers will be provided to enhance CTE knowledge and services. CHAMPS will offer unique opportunities for immediate WBL opportunities through internal partnerships. Outdated equipment will be replaced to meet industry standards. Collaboration will LA Mission College, LA Pierce College, LA Valley College and industry partners to develop CTE Model Curriculum integrated to academic standards will lead to articulation and/or dual enrollment opportunities.
