Pathways Improvement Scope
Build and expand SMPC pathway using K-12 SWP funds to match our students’ passions with local workforce demands by continuing to grow and expand the Sport Medicine/Patient Care pathway with a focus on developing our schools’ athletic care program and providing students opportunity to engage in health and medical science.
Goals & Priorities
Hire full time CTE teacher at the middle school, hire 3 part time industry trained support personnel to assist with the teaching and learning of our students at the high school. Identify industry partners for the Advisory Committee, create work based learning opportunities, develop engaging curriculum and work with WLAC to create dual enrollment and articulation opportunities. Identify and purchase industry level equipment for the upgrade of the Sports Medicine Laboratory. 50% of pathway participants will be from underserved and specialized populations.
