Pathways Improvement Scope

CVUHSD will create a new pathway in Child Development. CVUHSD also will work to increase. The district will further develop pathways that align with student interest and regional industry priorities in biotechnology, commerical music, public safety, environmental technology/sustainability, business/entrepreneurship, Construction Technology and various industries represented by the “creative economy”.

Goals & Priorities

K12SWP funds will be used to reduce access barriers to dual enrollment and certification proghrams thorugh equipment and materials purchases. Funds will also be used to create opportunities for colaboration in the development of pathways with post-secondary partners (i.e. ECC and CSUDH). A mentorship program will be developed for students in pathways with partners ECC and EXP. Funds will also provide expanded counseling services to help with transitions with the goal of CTE Pathway retention and completion. In collaboration with EXP and the SBWIB, work based learning opportunities in apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships will be expanded.
