Fall 2021 at Downey HS|The Year 1 Welding course launched Fall 2021 at Columbus HS|Both courses articulate with Cerritos
College (CC)|Year 2 Capstone for both was drafted and CC meetings were held|This project articulates and approves Year 2
courses and completes pathway approvals

Goals & Priorities

Collaborate with Cerritos College, West Hills College Coalinga, and industry partners to develop AP Seminar and AP Research Starter Kits and work-based learning so that individual student projects lead toward industry-level and college-level products. And, so that the documentation of these projects serves to earn students AP Seminar and, when applicable, AP Research credit. Creating AM feeder programs in DUSD middle schools will support career and college exploration with AM labs and simple, modified welding project-based learning.
