Pathways Improvement Scope

The project will create a new pathway in Energy, Construction and Utilities|The pathway will align to the CA CTE Standards for Energy and Power Technology|Two K12, sequential, pathway courses will be developed in alignment with the CA CTE Standards for Energy and Power Technology

Goals & Priorities

The grant will allow us to fund .4 CTE FTE to instruct students; fund all new industry grade materials and equipment and improve the current CTE student completer rate by adding two additional pathway courses with direct access to the local community college and transfer to CSULA. CalAPS and Cerritos College will develop a sequence of CTE courses ensuring clear post secondary transition with the option to move on to the state university system and Cerritos College will provide faculty for dual enrollment courses. Cerritos College will also assist in training/professional development for the high school pathway teacher in order to develop an aligned program.
