Pathways Improvement Scope

The project seeks to provide teachers with 2 days substitutes and or paid planning time to coordinate with GCC instructors and industry
partners. Restore the Stagecraft Theatre Tech Pathway and rebuild enrollment to 200 students by 2024. Review any current industry data at each advisory board meeting and pathway-specific meetings. Upgrade Pathway program technology, including equipment and licensing, to meet industry-standard technology.

Work closely with CTE Advisory Board to evaluate and adjust courses including sequencing, curriculum,
and WBL (3 times a year whole group/ bi-monthly by discipline)

Goals & Priorities

Work-based learning opportunities including worksite visits, internships, job shadowing, guest speakers, mentorships, and portfolio reviews. Professional development including software and hardware training, externships, certification authorization, and collaborative time to plan with like discipline peers and postsecondary instructors is needed. We will continue to collaborate with the Glendale Community College Digital Media Pathways team to continue support for increased student access to dual enrollment and articulated courses, discipline-specific curriculum alignment, and professional learning opportunities provided by the GCC and our shared partners.
