Pathways Improvement Scope
CHAMPS seeks to align the existing Design, Visual, & Media Arts and Performing Arts- music courses with CC programs and college credit offerings|We will offer student workshops and promote the AME pathway to our underserved students in our pathways and explain course alignment with the CC and college credit opportunities|We will phase in the new Game Design & Integration section.
Goals & Priorities
The goals of this project include the following: hiring a CTE credentialed teacher, creating the curriculum, purchasing equipment, and identifying an industry-recognized credential|CHAMPS counselors in conjunction with our CC and industry partners will create a program that will allow students to undergo career exploration|All CTE teachers will be accorded professional development opportunities through LACOE, industry-based conferences, and CC faculty collaboration meetings|Align curriculum and courses for dual enrollment and articulation|Develop new AME Pathway in Game Design and Integration.|Align Theater and Dance courses to CTE standards|Promote CTE with a focus on underserved population|Create opportunities for students to explore career options including Career Day and guest speakers.
