Pathways Improvement Scope

Certain GUSD pathways lack the articulation, dual enrollment and skill award and certification from the community college. The pathway improvement plan will help to increase number of articulated courses and guided pathway for students to earn skill or industry certification through dual enrollment college course work or even concurrent college enrollment.

Goals & Priorities

The goals and priorities for this grant have been outlined with the goals of the regional plan, district LCAP goals as well as the 11 elements of a High Quality CTE program. The districts goals are aligned with the improving and expanding the specific priority sectors in LA region; Advance manufacturing, transportation, health and emergent sector of construction, information and communication technologies and digital media. Key strategies include: curriculum alignment and integration for high quality CTE program, expand work-based Learning opportunities, strengthen industry advisory committees, career exploration and guidance, and student support and leadership development for special populations.
