Introduce two new pathways to BHHS aligned with SMC dovetailing into SMC’s related post-secondary CTE priorities.
Goals & Priorities
BHHS seeks to expand the pathways to address the needs of the local community and those articulated in the CTE Regional Plan for Los Angeles County. K12 SWP funds will allow the district to hire a fashion design professional and to create and teach fashion and merchandising as a pathway. It would also allow us to hire a passionate IT professional to create engaging, interdisciplinary curriculum that will prepare students to matriculate into SMC’s postsecondary IT program or similar post-secondary career oriented pathway of study.
