Investments in the Retail, Hospitality and Tourism (RHT) regional project are meant to provide resources for colleges to address the need for supervisory level development in the RHT sector. Once the college has these resources, they can be institutionalized with little, if any, additional infrastructure support. By developing tools/resources, documenting direct assessment learning and involving and training faculty, the project aims to develop a set of resources that can be used by the CCCs in the LA region and other CCCs statewide. Other investments include marketing and professional development. The full success of this project is contingent upon the economy having some “bounce back” from the COVID crisis as this sector was one of those hardest hit by the pandemic. It is estimated that each college will be able to serve at least 60 students as this is an emerging sector.
