Pathways Improvement Scope
BUSD’s 2022-23 SWP plan builds upon 2021-22 BUSD SWP Plan successes. Updating the College and Career Center lab and teacher technologies will ensure all student and teacher tech is compatible with our newly refreshed labs and that all run the same versions of software. Home licensing for students has helped to ensure all students are able to use the software at school and at home. We will continue to renew licensing for student access from home.
Goals & Priorities
BUSD added Biotech into our Health Science pathway at Burbank High in Spring 2022 and Burroughs High this Fall in response to labor market data reported in the LA Regional Plan. A Child Development dual enrollment course began in Spring 2022 as we plan to launch a new Education Pathway to address the state and national teacher shortage. Time will be provided for teachers to collaboratively plan with peers, industry partners, and postsecondary pathway instructors as we growth these programs.
