Since 2017, the Noncredit Career Pathways initiative has been a driving force in expanding access to free, short-term, competency-based training programs that prepare students for success in college and the workforce. Designated as a Core Initiative for the Los Angeles Region, it continues to strengthen connections between credit and noncredit programs while responding to evolving industry needs. The project supports faculty and staff through professional development, technical assistance, and outreach that promote the growth of noncredit Career Technical Education (CTE) and work experience programs. By equipping learners with practical skills, industry credentials, and career-focused learning opportunities, the initiative helps students advance along clear educational and employment pathways leading to sustainable, living-wage careers.
