LA County and BioscienceLA will partner for the 5th Annual LA County Bioscience Forum, held during LABioTechWeek on October 12 from 9am – 12:30pm.
LABioTechWeek aims to introduce a broader audience to life science and biotech initiatives in the greater LA region, and brings a week of events to life with the mission to generate regional momentum for collaboration and innovation. LABioTechWeek 2022 is scheduled from October 5- 15, 2022.
The 5th Annual LA County Bioscience Forum will take place on Wednesday, October 12 at BioscienceLA from 9am-12:30pm. The first two years were held in-person (at LMU and Google), and the last two years BioscienceLA hosted the half-day event virtually due to Covid. For 2022, we’re excited to announce an invite-only in-person event at the BioscienceLA Collaboration Hub in Culver City, while also live-streaming the event for a wider audience.
The focus this year is on workforce pipeline opportunities in life sciences in the region, as a way to bring together the public and private sectors. The event will feature opening remarks from BioscienceLA CEO, as well as Kelly LoBianco, director of LA County’s Department of Economic Opportunity, a keynote by CEO of Leif Labs, Adel Villalobos, two panel discussions, and some shorter “TED Talk” style talks by students/recent graduates of various biotech programs in LA County.
