Pathways Improvement Scope

The project seeks to create a BioAnimaker lab realigning the current Production Innovation and Design Pathway to a new Biotechnology pathway

Goals & Priorities

Multiple goals include funding .6 CTE FTE to instruct students in BioAnimaker lab; improve the current student completer rate and fund all new industry grade materials and equipment. The grant will allow us to develop, in collaboration, a K-14 sequence of courses, including completer courses; align the enhanced PID/biotech courses to the CA CTE Model Curriculum Standards, labor/industry needs, and LAOC Regional Strong Workforce Plan and Cerritos College and industry partners will provide work-based learning recommendations for pathway instructors.
