LA-22 ABCUSD: Pathway Partnership Pipelines to Close the Opportunity Gap

Pathways Improvement Scope

The project seeks to address a new Cloud Computing Pathway with Cerritos College which will be fully dual-enrolled with Amazon Web Services certification upon completion|ABCUSD will also expand current CTE pathways partnerships to increase dual-enrollment, recruit/retain special population students from feeder MS and HS, purchase industry aligned equipment, expand certifications and create/purchase curriculum aligned with college partners

Goals & Priorities

ABCUSD’s curriculum and instruction strategies would include all high school and middle school CTE teachers aligned with the priority sectors of the project: ICT/Digital Media, Health, Business, Transportation, Education (Emerging). Funding the above proposed projects would provide all CTE students with the information and resources they need to understand their post-secondary options and make informed decisions about what pathways they should choose. It will also create a pipeline to a college pathway program that supports early college credit opportunities, certifications and lead to high wage, high demand careers in a high priority sector within Los Angeles County.
