Pathways Improvement Scope
The project seeks to address the following: lack of a regionally scaled work-based learning system for CTE students|Insufficient CTE curricular articulation and alignment between K-12 districts and community colleges|Disproportionate college and career readiness outcomes for underserved student populations including English Language Learners and students with disabilities|Latinos are underrepresented in regional STEM careers.
Goals & Priorities
The goals of this project include: Identifying and implementing STEM-focused CTE dual enrollment courses throughout the consortium with the two local community colleges|Collaborate with K12 and community college instructors, create K-14 articulated and aligned CTE programs of study|Develop a sequenced continuum of grade level|integrated WBL activities including internships, job shadows, externships, mock interviews, job site visits, guest speakers|Coordinate with the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership (SGVEP) to engage regional business partners to provide WBL opportunities.
