  Dr. Graciela Vasquez

  Dr. Graciela Vasquez, the Dean of Continuing Education at Cerritos Community College, oversees the institution's Adult Education, Apprenticeship, and Fee-Based Programs. With over 20 years of administrative experience at Cerritos College, Dr. Vasquez has been instrumental in developing innovative programs for adults, primarily immigrants, in areas such as basic skills, apprenticeship, vocational education, job preparation, language skills development, citizenship and civics education, parent education, and bilingual education. A UCLA graduate, Dr. Vasquez holds a Doctorate in Education, a Master's degree in Urban Planning, and a Bachelor's in Development Studies. She is also the proud mother of four children.

  Claudia Aguilar-Gonzalez

  Grants / Apprenticeship Programs

  Claudia Aguilar González works in the Continuing Education Division as the Program Facilitator. She is responsible in supporting apprenticeship programs and grants. This is a new skill that will assist her in developing and expanding innovative opportunities for the division. Her experience in the field of education began 31 years ago, and since then Claudia has acquired a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from National University. She believes in the importance of building relationships and being resourceful to students, colleagues, and the community.

• Jennifer Nieto

  Program Facilitator - Apprenticeship Programs

  Jennifer Nieto is the Program Facilitator that oversees the apprenticeship programs with the Continuing Education Division at Cerritos College. She completed her undergraduate degree in Health Science from the California State University, Fullerton, and is currently in the process of completing her master's degree in Global Public Health.  She has over seven years of experience working with noncredit and credit programs, and most recently has taken on the role of aiding apprentices in completing their Associate of Science in Field Ironwork. Jennifer's goal is to help students explore lucrative career pathways and accomplish educational milestones in higher education.

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a U.S. High School Diploma, GED/High School Equivalency
  • Must be physically able to do work normally performed in the trade
  • Must be part of Field Ironworkers Local 416 OR Local 433
