Dear AI-Cybersecurity Workforce Development and Education Colleagues,
To address current and future California AI-Cybersecurity workforce capability and skills gaps, we must work together collaboratively with the Public Sector, Private Industry, Academia (K-12 Education/Higher Education), and Community Based Organizations. Our grand objective is a statewide IT-cybersecurity-AI career education pipeline and pathway to meet critical workforce development and education needs. Thus, we are meeting with key partners and major stakeholders to discuss these critical issues and innovative solutions to support and enhance state IT-Cybersecurity-AI Workforce and Education. Solutions include the California Cybersecurity Career Education Pipeline and Pathway Project (hashtag#C3EP3) with both traditional “academic” and non-traditional (“skills-based”) pathways for AI-Cyber-IT professional preparation.
The California Cybersecurity Task Force, Workforce Development and Education Subcommittee, Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), and Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) cordially invite you to attend the 2025 California AI-Cybersecurity Workforce Development and Education Summit on February 28th (8:30-3:30 p.m.) hosted by hashtag#LAVC at the Monarch Center. hashtag#LACCD is the largest community college district in California and among the largest in the nation. The California Cybersecurity Task Force (hashtag#CCTF)is co-led by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (hashtag#CalOES), California Department of Technology (hashtag#CDT), and supported by the California Cybersecurity Integration Center (hashtag#CalCSIC).
We hope you are able to join us for a very exciting day! We are anticipating 250-350 participants and attendees! In addition to the Summit plenary session, we are also hosting three breakout groups, including
1. Industry employer (Public & Private perspectives-
2. K-12 and Higher Education-
3. How to get a job in IT-Cybersecurity-AI (including a California IT-Cybersecurity-AI Career, Internship, and Apprenticeship Fair for prospective students and employers.)
